A Million Hours Together!

We are pleased to announce that Saint Miriam has been invited to once again participate in the Million Hour Volunteer Rally for its second year! Thanks to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from last year, we are thrilled to continue this impactful initiative!

This year, we’ve moved the rally to April, which is National Volunteer Month, making it the perfect time to mobilize support for Saint Miriam.

The Million Hour Volunteer Rally is a nationwide movement inviting customers, associates, and partners to donate their time and skills to help us reach a collective goal of one million volunteer hours!

ACME understands that food banks and pantries across the country are facing a critical shortage of volunteers. This rally is our response to that urgent need. The goal is to support organizations like Saint Miriam by ensuring we have the helping hands – and funds – necessary to advance our mission to serve those in need AND YOU CAN HELP!

We’d love for you to join us and help spread the word! To make it easy, we’ve prepared this information to share across your social media, to raise awareness and encourage participation, and to ask you to volunteer, too!

How it Works:

Associates, customers, and organization volunteers can log their volunteer hours for a chance to win exciting prizes! Every participant who logs hours will be entered into a random drawing conducted by a third party. You can use all hours from now through the end of May 2025!

Prizes:

Customers:

• Grand Prize: Groceries for a year plus $12,500 donation to a local hunger nonprofit
• Runner up (up to 12 winners): $5,000 grocery gift card plus $5,000 donation to a local hunger nonprofit

Associates

• Winner: Gift basket + $500 donation to a local hunger nonprofit

Organization

• Grants of $25,000, $10,000 and $5,000 to Saint Miriam!

How and Where Can I Volunteer?

To join us, simply email us and let us know! You may volunteer in the pantry, food bank storage, volunteer site in Norristown on Saturday’s from 11am – 1pm, preparing nutrition and hygiene bags during the week, preparing food like casseroles or PB&J sandwiches or volunteer within our school, too! It all counts!
