Join us for The Sacrament of Holy Orders on Sunday, December 11th 2022 at 11:30am at the Morning Mass as we welcome three new deacons and a new priest!
On Sunday, December 11, 2022, The Third Sunday of Advent, Gaudete Sunday,
at 11:30am Morning Mass.
We will welcome our Diocesan Ordinary to confer
the Sacrament of Holy Orders upon four worthy Candidates!
The Sacrament of Holy Orders will be conferred by his Excellency, (The Right Reverend Dr.) James St. George, OSF, Bishop of Clairvaux
Our Permanent Deacons will remain assigned to Saint Miriam.
Our Transitional Deacons will serve and wait the mandatory minimum six months as a deacon prior to being considered for priesthood to comply with Canon Law for validity (ref:Can. 1031 §1).
Our new priest will continue his work with ministry to those he serves on death row through his nonprofit, Clergy United Against the Death Penalty, and will join our team at Saint Miriam as the Inaugural Chair for Faith, Justice, and Humanitarian Efforts: a new effort to advance the parish’s commitment to the common good and human dignity of every person.
