Let’s light up the night early this year.
Together, we can shine a beacon of positivity and resilience. Let’s illuminate the darkness, one light at a time.
Put up your Christmas lights, even if its just a few strands. It’s a simple act that can bring hope and unity.

The recent national campaign has caused so many to fall into deep feelings of disillusionment, anger, confusion, bitterness, and fear. The future for some is uncertain and filled with great concerns especially for women’s reproductive rights, LGBTQ inclusion and civil liberties, and immigrant families.
The coming season of Advent is a holy season of expectation, and the coming of our Savior is filled with unexpected joy.
Jesus’ birth also followed a similar time of trial, tragedy and fear. It was a dreadful time in history of what already was a troubled and turbulent land. Judea was in a period of revolution and violence and mass popular politics, a tyrannical reign of a king was ending and it birthed radical ideologies that today we would call religious nationalism.
We will come together on the First Sunday of Advent, following the 9:30am Mass, and hold these two “seasons” in tandem as we offer a time of exploration, support, discussion, and encouragement to those who are struggling.
