Stained Glass Project

Stained Glass Project!

Our Sanctuary Stained Glass project is now taking shape and style and color! Please make your way to the Library and cast your vote for one of two beautiful designs, or support online here today with your memorial or honor donation!

The designs are not conservative, traditional designs. Rather they are more modern in scope, holding to our ethos to allow our minds and imaginations to interpret them as we change moods, stations in life, etc.

Design #1 features curves and circular movements to depict creation. Design #2 features the elegance of streaming rays of light coming down from heaven!

Please cast your vote now by making a donation and adding your choice today!

Together, we will watch us take on new shape and color in our already beautiful Sanctuary. If we can raise the needed funds, these beautiful windows will be installed in time for Easter Sunday!

Light a Candle!

Saint Miriam has a beautiful votive tree called "The Burning Bush" and we offer intentions by lighting a simple 14-hour candle on each of its 48 branches. In the lighting of candles we remember and truly live out the words of Our Lord: "I am the Light of the World." In the lighting of candles we not only pray, but our prayers become smaller symbols of the One Light of Christ. Your intentions can also now be made online and a candle will be lighted by one of our priests on your behalf and a prayer said for your specific intention. This is a beautiful way to honor a loved one or to care for a concern.

*NEW* The Burning Bush

Saint Miriam is starting a campaign to raise funds to reduce our environmental impact and also reduce our monthly lighting/electrical expenses by 94%. We will purchase 80 LED bulbs and dedicate our newest piece of liturgical furniture - a votive candle memorial for our sanctuary - that we will call our "Burning Bush" to all those who give to this campaign. (See photo). These bulbs will be located throughout the parish including the sanctuary, and have a life expectancy of 12 to15 years. For each donation of $100, every donor receives a “golden light bulb” lapel pin, and their name, or a loved one's name, will be engraved on a plaque on our Founder's Wall.

Birthdays at Saint Miriam!

Our Hospitality Committee wishes to acknowledge all the birthdays at Saint Miriam. We already send out cards and now we will have a cake, too! Each month, beginning June 7th – on the 1st Sunday - we will celebrate and honor all birthdays! So, please be sure to see, or email Joe D’Annunzio ( ) to update your birthday info!

Artist in Residence!

Our latest Artist in residence is one of our own members! Joyce Shaffer is a local fabric artist and has created some wonderful, inspired pieces of fabric art! They are simply beautiful and are located in our Fellowship Hall now through the year's end. Her work communicates visually and expresses rich texture the spirit brings as she celebrates beauty and joy in her creations! Joyce has been a regular member and also donated a beautiful wall hanging to our Silent Auction! Please visit Joyce and her work every week at Saint Miriam!

Every 8-12 weeks, we will open our doors to a new artist in residence! This is part of our Community Outreach effort. We allow new artists to gain valuable display time and experience serving as curator to their own exhibitions in our fellowship hall. Please support this effort and learn more about the artists by visiting our website under Community Outreach. This month’s artist in residence is: Joyce Shaffer.

How do Thursday Liturgies work?

Our Thursday liturgies are a time to take a short break from the busyness of life. They occur every Thursday in the Main Sanctuary. They last approximately 30 minutes and then, if you desire, you may join us for dinner at a local eatery or stay and ask more questions! It is an informal time to relax, enjoy one another, and share in the life of the parish both inside outside of the church walls. Join us!

The Women of Saint Miriam
The women’s group meets every 2nd Tuesday in Ray Leight Room at Saint Miriam. The Women of Saint Miriam become members simply by virtue of you being female and a member of the parish. Newcomers and friends from outside the community are also welcomed to join in. They perform civic and service work and enjoy great fellowship and support! Jean Sulima and Susan Slagle have coordinated this group so please email for more information to .
