Ms. Patricia (Pat) Heffner, Seminarian

Patricia (Pat) Heffner is currently studying for the Permanent Deaconate and was assigned to Saint Miriam Parish in 2009. She was born and raised in East Falls, Philadelphia and currently resides in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. She is one of five children; one sister and three brothers. Pat has been working at Cathedral Village Retirement Center in Andorra for the past twenty -five years. She is presently the Recreation Manager of the Alzheimer’s unit and is also pursuing a Human Degree at Chestnut Hill College. In her spare time, Pat enjoys gardening, watching old movies and cooking. Before finding Saint Miriam, Pat attended many Protestant churches and eventually was even baptized a Roman Catholic after RCIA, but after much reflection, did not feel that this was where she was called to be.

She continued to search and after the first Mass she attended at Saint Miriam, she knew this was her new home and that she would be able to fulfill her calling.
